Help Jacqui |

Today Jacqui lives in Caracas, Venezuela with her father. Thanks to multiple operations and a cornea transplant, much of her vision has been restored. She has regained partial use of her right hand. Jacqui currently is undergoing facial reconstruction surgery. Jacqui will need medical treatment for her injuries for the rest of her life. She still dreams of living independently.

Jacqui's Mission

At her first press conference ten years ago, Jacqui valiantly said, “Even if it means sitting here in front of a camera with no ears, no nose, no eyebrows, no hair, I’ll do this a thousand times if it will help someone make a wise decision.” She has kept her word.
